Pianist and composer Kris Davis leads Akili Bradley on trumpet, Camila Cortina on piano, Saul Ojeda on bass, and Ivanna Cuesta Gonzalez on drums from the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.
Davis has released 12 recordings as leader. Her 2016 release, Duopoly, was included on best album lists compiled by the New York Times, PopMatters, National Public Radio, the Los Angeles Times, and Jazz Times. She has collaborated with artists such as John Zorn, Terri Lyne Carrington, Craig Taborn, Tyshawn Sorey, and Eric Revis. Davis is associate program director of creative development for the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.
