One of Berklee's Global Academic Partners, Global Music Insitute (GMI) and Global Initiatives are teaming up to host a series of online information sessions, webinars, and master classes. Their aim is to reinforce the partnership between GMI and Berklee in the Indian subcontinent and to help create awareness about the avenues for furthering music education and the possibilities in the changing landscape, as well as to engage with the music enthusiasts in the region. The GMI/Berklee track is a great opportunity for aspiring musicians as it enables them to begin their music education at GMI in India and complete their undergraduate degree at Berklee. Once accepted at Berklee, students can then transfer credits for agreed-upon courses completed at GMI.

In this session, Annette Philip, artistic director of Berklee India Exchange, founder and director of the Berklee Indian Ensemble, and GMI tribe mentor, will engage with the singers, vocalists, songwriters, and music enthusiasts in the region and reinforce the learning opportunities provided by both GMI and Berklee. Participants are encouraged to submit their vocal tracks prior to the session, and selected tracks will be reviewed by Philip during the live master class.
