The Secrets of Ferns is a five-song cycle composed and performed by Berklee College of Music professors Neil Olmstead (piano) and Ana Guigui (voice) in anticipation of their upcoming CD, The Secrets of Ferns, funded through a Berklee faculty development grant.

This song cycle blends jazz harmonic colors with traditional bel canto. The text includes poems by Sara Pirkle Hughes and Anya Silver, in addition to Olmstead’s lyrics.
